My name is Jesse Green, and I’m a musician from Thunder Bay, Ontario! Since I began my music career, my philosophy in songwriting and producing has been best described with this statement: “every song has a story and every story has a song.” With a unique blend of pop/r&b, folk, and Gospel, my goal is to tell stories through songs and create an atmosphere where people feel seen, loved, and heard.

As the daughter of a pastor and Gospel singer, I grew up with three passions: Jesus, people, and music. I wrote my very first song at the age of 11 with my dad about how I saw Jesus: my closest friend. I knew from the moment it was completed that songwriting was something I wanted to do for the rest of my life, and I wanted to sing songs that reflected my love for Jesus and people. When I attended university in 2016, I heard God’s call on my life to go into ministry as a musician, making it clear to me that He wanted to use my voice to communicate His love and truth. It was in this same season that I learned about the tragedy of human trafficking in North America. My heart was grieved, especially by the realities of forced prostitution. I knew this was one of the areas God wanted me to focus my music on, and I wrote “Not For Sale,” a song about a victim of sex trafficking. In 2020, I performed the song and spoke at an anti-trafficking seminar at my home church, educating the community on human trafficking prevention. “Not For Sale” became my debut single, released on April 1st, 2022. This launched my career and ministry as an artist and spokesperson for anti-trafficking advocacy.

My favorite places to share my music in the city of Thunder Bay are outreach events, fundraisers for other ministries, and prison chapels. My vision as an artist is to sing God's song of love and freedom over people, inside and outside the church walls. My goal in this ministry is to not just to write and release music for "church folk," but to the prostitute, the homeless, and the addict, the people who have never known what it is to be loved and free in Christ Jesus. My inspiration for this is found in Zephaniah 3:17, 

  “The Lord your God is with you,
   the Mighty Warrior who saves.
He will take great delight in you;
  in his love he will no longer rebuke you,
 but will rejoice over you with singing.”

My current projects and activities also include learning music production through online courses, writing songs about other people’s stories, and organizing plans to record and produce my first EP album (concerts and events will be included!).
